About this policy
This is the current terms of use for the invite-only Open Oracle Alpha. It applies to the research catalog, original-paper reader, private library and notes, voice conversations, account access, and any available subscription features described in the document.

# Open Oracle Alpha Terms
Effective July 28, 2026
These Terms govern the invite-only Open Oracle Alpha provided by Hopping Mad
Games LLC ("HMG," "we," or "us"). By accepting an invitation or using Open
Oracle, you agree to these Terms, the Alpha Privacy Policy, and the Alpha Refund
Policy.
## Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 16 years old. If you have not reached the age of legal
majority where you live, you may use Open Oracle only with permission from a
parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf. Access is
invitation-only. Keep sign-in links and active sessions private, provide
accurate account information, and notify security@open-oracle.com if you suspect
unauthorized access. We may suspend access to protect the service or enforce
these Terms.
## Alpha service
Open Oracle discovers eligible research papers from arXiv and provides
AI-generated explanations, grounded document conversation, private notes, and
related research tools. Alpha software is unfinished and may change, fail, or
produce incomplete or incorrect results. Verify important claims against the
cited paper. Open Oracle is not medical, legal, financial, safety, or other
professional advice.
User uploads are not part of this Alpha. Do not attempt to bypass access,
security, publication, usage, or document boundaries; interfere with the
service; automate abusive traffic; probe another account; or use Open Oracle to
violate law or third-party rights.
## Plans, recurring billing, and credits
Free is $0 per month. Student is $14.99 per month, Plus is $19.99 per month, and
Pro is $199.99 per month. Institutional service requires a separate agreement.
There is no paid trial. Before checkout, Open Oracle shows the selected plan,
price, billing interval, included monthly Open Oracle credits, and recurring
billing terms. By confirming checkout, you authorize the displayed charge now
and each month until cancellation.
One hundred Open Oracle credits represent one US dollar of estimated provider
cost. Credits measure provider-backed usage; they are not cash, stored value,
or transferable property. Monthly allocations do not roll over. A depleted
allowance pauses provider-backed activity without creating an automatic
overage charge. Plan prices, credit allocations, and future changes are shown
before they take effect.
You can cancel in account settings. Cancellation stops future renewal charges
and paid access continues through the current paid period unless a refund is
issued. The Refund Policy governs refunds.
## Content and intellectual property
Research papers remain subject to their source licenses. HMG and its licensors
own Open Oracle software, interfaces, prompts, and service-generated structure.
You retain rights you have in your private notes and grant HMG the limited
permission needed to store, process, and display them for your use of the
service. Do not assume an AI response changes the license or ownership of a
paper.
## Availability and disclaimers
The Alpha is provided "as is" and "as available" to the extent permitted by
law. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, complete paper coverage, or
error-free AI output. To the extent permitted by law, HMG is not liable for
indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from
Alpha use. Rights that cannot legally be waived remain unaffected.
## Changes and ending access
We may change or discontinue Alpha features. Material policy changes require a
new version and acceptance where required. You may stop using the service and
request account deletion. Provisions that logically survive termination,
including payment, ownership, disclaimers, and legal limits, continue to apply.
Colorado law governs these Terms without overriding consumer protections that
apply where you live. Contact support@open-oracle.com with questions.
